Ufanisi ICT Solutions and Research Burundi LTD is seeking a visionary and dynamic individual to join the ICT department team as an ICT Officer. This critical and innovative full-time position is based in Bujumbura, Burundi.

ROLES :

• analyzing information needs and specifying technology to meet those needs
• formulating and directing information and communication technology (ICT) strategies, policies and plans
• directing ICT operations and setting priorities between system developments, maintenance and operations
• Manage systems testing and modification to ensure reliable operability
• Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision
• Produce monthly reports/communication on IT functions as required
• Planning and leading the corporation in the ICT plans and creating awareness in the functional department on the development of specific systems solutions to meet the functional requirements and corporations objectives
• Managing all ICT systems and ensure that ICT policies are consistently applied and plans for the organization (business recovery plans) BRP and pandemics.
• Leading the corporation in the ICT services management, reviews and ensures that agreed ICT services are provided throughout the corporation
• Reviewing ICT Risk management and Business continuity plans
• Managing information technology and computer systems
• Controlling and evaluating IT and electronic data operations
• Manage IT staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance
• Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
• Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
• Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
• 2 years’ experience developing in or working with at least 3 of the following: PHP, Python, .NET, Android, MYSQLi, JQuery mobi, HTML, JavaScript, Ajax
•  No less than 2 years working within an object oriented PHP Development Environment that has a well defined system lifecycle.

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

- The candidate should have academic qualification in computer sciences, MIS or IT related studies (Not less than a degree level).

- Superior Written and Verbal Communication Skills both English, French and Kirundi,

- Creativity and minimum of 1 years working Experience in the field of IT
- The candidate should be a male not less than 23 years of age and not more than 30 years old.
- The candidate must have been lived in Bujumbura for not less than 5 years and is currently living in Bujumbura

-Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
